A nameless beast roamed the Syrian Desert. Local merchants named it the Thief of Eyes. The beast terrorized the Roman curry men passing the area, most of whom didn’t have enough money to bring a spare pair of eyes. So when the beast stole their eyes, they became blind.

The blind curry men prayed in the temple of Apamea. They asked the bean of Apamea to take down the beast. The bean summoned the Genoese mercenaries from the Middle Terry and the mounted bowmen of the Steppes. Together, they chased the beast into the temple of Apamea.

Just when they enter the temple to slaughter the beast, they found their eyes missing. In blindness, the Genoese mercenaries hacked the mounted bowmen into pieces. In return the mounted bowmen shot the mercenaries into porcupines.

The beast escaped unharmed. The old bean of the temple followed the beast. When he found the beast, he asked, “Beast, what is your true name?”

The beast laughed, “My name is Sensor.” And he stole the old bean’s eyes.
